This 13-pin trailer cable extension makes it easy to add additional connections to an existing passenger car trailer wiring harness. The original 13-pin trailer connector is connected directly to the extension, while the extension’s 13-pin connector is connected to the towing vehicle. Additional wire terminals allow for the connection of additional position lights and reverse lights without having to modify the existing trailer wiring harness.
Technical Details
Model: 13-pin trailer cable extension
Total cable length: 2,500 mm
Towing vehicle connection: 13-pin connector
Trailer connection: 13-pin connector to accommodate the existing trailer plug
Additional connections for position lights: 2 Super-SEAL outputs
Additional connections for reverse lights: 2 German DT outputs
Additional connections for trailer lighting
Additional position and clearance lights can be connected to the trailer via the two Super-SEAL outputs. This allows, for example, the addition of white position lights at the front, yellow side marker lights, or red position lights at the rear. Additionally, two separate Deutsch-DT outputs are available for backup lights.
- The original 13-pin trailer connector can still be used
- No modifications to the existing trailer wiring harness are required
The generously sized cable length allows for neat routing of the wiring harness along the drawbar or under the trailer. This ensures that the 13-pin connection leading to the towing vehicle is protected and routed as inconspicuously as possible.
